Writer and strategist with a strong voice and a passion for creative content. I love finding the best idea and presenting it in the freshest way. NYC.
Chase.com | Ultimate Rewards Homepage | Lead Content Designer
As part of Chase's Loyalty (Rewards and Benefits) team, I have worked closely with designers, researchers, product managers, and developers to reimagine the Chase rewards experience. Starting with a content and UX/UI audit, my team identified areas of uplift that aligned with business objectives and customer pain points before reconstructing the landing page to incorporate entry points for redemption flows, marketing placements, and the newly launched Chase Travel.
Chase.com | Ultimate Rewards Rewards Activity | Lead Content Designer
As we worked on the homepage, we were simultaneously uplifting the Rewards Activity page — one level down, this page shows a running list of a customer's most recent transactions and earnings. For each type of transaction, whether it was a $15 purchase at a plant store or a $1,500 reservation at a hotel, we had to map out how the data would translate to our new design. Myself, a designer, and our product partner ended up creating over 30 types of transaction detail types that are applicable across redemption types, refunds, cancellations, and more.
Chase.com | Ultimate Rewards Navigation | Lead Content Designer
As part of my initial UX/UI audit, I had identified the Ultimate Rewards navigation as a major painpoint. The previous iteration was, on web, a fully exposed menu of over 15 options, with no hierarchy or clear grouping. On mobile and tablet, a hamburger menu opened to display a similar jumble.
After collaborating on refreshed taxonomy and information architecture, we conducted customer research sessions to determine the best design and labels for the uplifted nav. This example shows a "redeem only" version that is displayed in a mobile view.
Chase.com | Pay Yourself Back | Lead Content Designer
In this "60 Seconds with Leaders" video, Chase's Chief Design Office Kaaren Hanson calls out Pay Yourself Back as her favorite JPMC product! I worked on the content for this redemption option, which allows customers to choose up to 12 recent purchases to "cover" with their credit card points. So, if you have a big spend that you feel guilty about, don't worry...your secret is safe with me.
Paying It Forward | Lead Content Strategist
As the lead StudioID strategist on the Square account, I created and executed on the content strategy for Square's second podcast, Paying It Forward, which addressed common issues facing small business finance owners.
In addition to leading the content strategy, I also oversaw production elements, including coordinating recordings, shaping and editing episodes, and liaising with production partners and the client.
Talking Squarely | Content Strategist + Project Manager
As part of the NewsCred/StudioID team, I contributed to the content strategy for Square's inaugural playlist, Talking Squarely. I also facilitated the pre-production work for each episode, including coordinating and attending recording sessions, editing each episode, and acting as a liasion between the client and our production partners.
Dell Realize | The Value of a Voice
In 2021, I was tapped to contribute to Dell Technologies' Realize magazine, an annual publication that explores innovation and trends in the technology space.
My piece was about the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association's work developing a unique method of voice banking for people with MND that helps them and their loved ones contend with the realities of their diagnosis.

Breakthrough Champion: Deonte Thompson is lifting as he climbs
I spoke with Deonte Thompson, Dell's senior director of the Software and Transformation Program Management Office, about his non-profit the Dreamfaith Foundation, his mentorship strategies, and of course his long career in software and technology.
I'm also happy we were able to publish under the title I suggested, which nods to Mary Church Terrell's words 'lifting as we climb'.
A Lockdown Guide to Sunday Dinner
In 2020, the time tracking tool Harvest invited a disparate group of artists, photographers, and writers to meditate on their experiences of the pandemic thus-far for a collective project called "Time in This Time." At the time, my roommate and I had been hosting clandestine dinners within our bubble as 'Black Appetit', trying to grasp onto any community we could.
We captured one of these dinners on film and wrote about the importance of food and ritual in uncertain times. This personal piece was collaboratively written by myself and Omotayo Balogun, with photos by Chris Yetka.
